The Popular Plasma Tv Wall Mount

Being able to hang a hdtv on the wall will entice many to buy this type of tv. A plasma tv wall mount will allow you to build it into the wall due to its slim profile. This will free up floor space and make for a better viewing area. Most manufacturers include stands to hold the televisions upright on a flat surface and sell a plasma TV wall mount separately as an option. Mounting the plasma tv to the wall can be cumbersome, and many consumers will not bother with it and choose just to use the standard mounting.

As with most electronic devices, a plasma television will require wires. The power cord is will come with each set and all the digital devices such as the dvd , vcr, video games systems, and sound systems will need to be plugged into the tv. Most of these wire can be run through the wall behind the plasma TV wall mount, but they will still show below the television set unless hidden by another piece of furniture or a tall plant.

Many of these devices are obtainable with wirless conn’s , nevertheless if you want to replace them all then it could be a little tricky and expensive. Your plasma tv wall mount can be a neat and clean installation if it is recessed allowing you to hide all of the cables and wiring.

Make Sure The Mounting Support Is Correct For The TV

It’s always better to purchase the wall mount accessory from the manufacturer to insure compatablilty. Its always best to get the mount from the manufacturer of your set although there are many third party vendor mounts that should work alright.

Regardless of where on the way the television will be mounted, the mounting brackets for the plasma TV wall mount must be fastened to wall studs to eliminate the chance of them being ripped out of the wall. While most of the televisions are light weight, they still weight more than most pictures and if the screws or bolts holding the plasma TV wall mount to the wall do not have a firm grip on the wall studs, there is a good chance of them ripping loose and dropping the television on the floor.

Many of the plasma TV wall mounts can also be adjusted for depth, allowing to top of the television to be slightly pushed out from the wall, making viewing from a lower alignment more suitable.

Vizio Plasma TV – A Brief Review

We have written a short overview of the 42″ HD Vizio plasma TV.  This is an older model Vizio plasma TV that has received a lot of attention lately due to significant price drops. You can find this television for sale at Costco, Target, Sam’s Club in addition to many online retailers.

Vizio plasma TV Overview

The 42” Vizio plasma TV has a resolution of 1024 by 768 pixels. A remote, integrated NTSC/ATSC tuner with removable side mounted speakers is currently included. The only color offered on this model is black. The price is attractive and the features sound good but when compared to other high quality TV’s the pricing becomes apparent. This HDTV is at the top of the list of budget plasma TV’s.

Right away you will notice the inferior picture quality. Although the colors are not as clear they are acceptable for a bargain plasma TV. After working on the color settings on the Vizio plasma TV it was impossible to equal the clarity of the newer and more costly plasmas available.

This television also exhibited problems with false shading, an effect where colors band together as opposed to slight shading. A novice could detect the picture quality as not being the best. While most of the features included in the Vizio plasma TV were not impressive the picture quality was sufficient for that price range. A distinct lack of ways to input HD sources to this television was the most glaring omission.

Users are left with only DVI inputs to connect your components and these are only capable of carrying a 480p signal. Newer high end TV’s have 1080p which is where this TV seiously lags far behind. This TV’s picture within picture quality is sub-par. While you can have two television channels up simultaneously, you are completely unable to have images from another source – DVD, VCR, Video Game, etcetera – up at the same time.

This renders the picture in picture pretty much useless.  With its low cost it does stand out. This model is not as highly rated as some but it also costs quite a bit less. We would cautiously recommend the Vizio as it is the best TV in its price range.

Taking A Look At The DirectTv Tivo Relationship

satellite TV service

Unlike other satellite TV systems, DirecTV TiVo relationship allows subscribers to use the two services in conjunction with each other. At the heart of the DirecTV TiVo relationship is a desire to offer their customers the best support and service that they possible can. They have both come to realize that customers will soon have more choices concerning their satellite TV service. With many digital cable providers now offering their own DVR service, TiVo also needed a reliable partner.

TiVo

TiVo is a brand of DVR or digital video recorder. The device allows consumers to capture and record live television broadcasts and stores the data in the device’s hard drive storage area for later viewing. The TiVo recorder is a lot like a VCR, except that is saves programs on to non-removable hard disk space. There are many facets to TiVo that have evolved over the years, but that is the basic premise of the device.

HDTV TiVo is designed to record high-definition television programs. The DirecTV TiVo relationship came into being because TiVo wanted to expand their capabilities and start working directly with satellite TV providers to provide complete service to consumers. This relationship is based around the fact that most of TiVo’s customers come from the DirecTV market, meaning that most people that are prone to use a product such as TiVo are equally as prone to use satellite TV systems.

DirecTV

DirecTV is a direct satellite TV service. DirecTV has more subscribers to its service than any other satellite TV service companies in the United States. They have also collaborated with various high-definition networks to offer exclusive HDTV satellite channels.

The Changing DirecTV TiVo Relationship

The DirecTV TiVo relationship has since changed since they began collaboration. DirecTV has since elected to collaborate with another company to develop similar technology to the TiVo system, enabling DirecTV total control over the new DVR system. TiVo has since begun working with other satellite providers, including Comcast, to try to find a new commercial relationship.

The DirecTV TiVo relationship still exists, as maintenance and repairs of TiVo systems are still included with DirecTV subscriptions. DirecTV will no longer be marketing the TiVo system, however, as more development into their own form of digital video recorder is completed. The public awaits the new technology from DirecTV, as many recent bugs and problems have made TiVo less than popular.

TiVo has undergone many changes as a company as their product evolved. The original splash that TiVo’s system made in the market has since subsided and TiVo is now looking for other avenues. The DirecTV TiVo business relationship was one of those avenues, but as DirecTV moves on, TiVo will inevitably need to do the same. Time will tell what becomes of the future of DVR technology and satellite television’s role in it.
